FASD Day, and the month of September, is devoted to raising awareness, and to challenge current misinformation and stigma surrounding FASD.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a lifelong disability that affects the brain and body of people who were exposed to alcohol prenatally.

Ways To Support FASD Awareness:

  • Wear red shoes or a red t-shirt on September 9
  • Red Rock Art Challenge: Throughout the month of September, paint a rock red and place along Island Lake Trail in Orangeville, Riverside Park and/or Royal City Park in Guelph.
  • During the month of September, while wearing red, take a selfie or a picture of the rock art you created or found. Use the hashtag #DWFASD and tag us on Facebook at Dufferin Wellington FASD Awareness Day September 9th and you will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 3 gift cards.
