Description: In 2020, a new partnership was created between De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre (DAHC) and McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH), Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre (RJCHC) to provide improved access to diagnostic testing for FASD for Indigenous children, youth and families. FASD encompasses several conditions that can affect an unborn baby with prenatal alcohol exposure. Working together, DAHC and MCH provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) assessment and diagnostic services to Indigenous communities living in Hamilton, Brantford, Niagara and surrounding area.
