Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO)

The CHEO FASD Assessment Clinic provides a multi-disciplinary diagnostic assessment for children, youth and adults with suspected FASD. Referrals must be made by the legal guardian or by a physician.

Child Development Resource Connection Peel

In order to be eligible for assessment, children must be between the ages of birth and six years of age, live in
Peel Region and have confirmed prenatal alcohol exposure and developmental concerns.

Halton FASD Collaborative

The Halton Assessment & Diagnostic Team will be able to provide up to 10 assessment per year. Referrals will
be taken on a first come basis. A wait list will be kept and reviewed each year

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Diagnostic Team

Referrals will be accepted when there is confirmed maternal alcohol use and when behavioural issues are
having an impact on the children’s leaning and day to day functioning. Individuals must be living in the Guelph-
Wellington County to qualify for diagnostic services.

Resources for Exceptional Children and Youth

Children who are school-aged (5+ years of age) living in Durham Region are assessed through a Virtual
Diagnostic Team led by a developmental paediatrician in private practice.

Grandview Children’s Centre

Grandview offers programs and services to children and young adults with physical and communication
disabilities who live in the Durham Region.
